"Introducing the new Chicago Tribune Photography app. Inside each edition you’ll find the most compelling news, sports, features, portrait and pictorial photography from the Chicago Tribunes staff photographers, available now for the first time in full iPad Retina-ready resolution.

Were launching the app with our Photos of the Year 2012 issue. From the midst of NATO protests, to President Obama’s re-election night, to the highs and lows of Chicago’s sports teams, Tribune photographers captured historic moments in 2012 that were informative, provocative, often beautiful and absolutely memorable.

In the year ahead, we plan to bring you editions on current Chicago news and cultural events, as well as special themed editions featuring images from the Tribune’s vast archive. Once again, these images will be available in the highest resolution we’ve ever released.
